‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ gets a big pre-release boost

Director Mani Ratnam's 'Kaatru Veliyidai' is getting released amid huge expectations on Friday (April 7), The film starring Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari in lead roles has acquired a Entertainment Tax Exempt status offered by Tamil Nadu Government for U certified Tamil films that fulfill certain criteria. 

Already there is huge pre-release buzz for 'Kaatru Veliyidai' as always for a Mani Ratnam directorial. The number of theaters and the advance booking denote a highly positive trend towards a great opening. With this the film getting 30% tax exemption will be a huge boost for all stakeholders of the film's business. 

Karthi plays a fighter pilot Varun and Aditi a dentist Leela Abraham in this film touted to be a romance. RJ Balaji, Delhi Ganes and Rukmini Vijayakumar have played the other important roles. A.R.Rahman has provided the music score while Ravivarman has handled the cinematography. The film has been produced by Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies and distributed by Sri Thenandal Films banner.
