'Ponniyin Selvan' is the dream project of the legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam. It is an adaptation epic historical fiction novel of the same name crafted by the renowned author Kalki. The title is being made in two parts and the filming of PS1 was wrapped up in September.

Fans are eagerly waiting for the magnum opus venture's promotional works to begin. Now, the latest hot buzz in the Tamil media circle is that the 'Ponniyin Selvan' team is planning to kickstart promotions with an audio launch function. It is said that the makers are planning to organise the music release ceremony of the film on a grand scale as never before.

In that sense, the grand audio launch of 'Ponniyin Selvan' is to be held overseas, especially in London or Dubai. Reports suggest that some important special guests will attend this music launch event. An official announcement on the date and venue of the grandeur ceremony is expected to be officially announced soon.

Ponniyin Selvan comprises an ensemble cast of Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Vikram Prabhu, Prabhu, Jayaram, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sarath Kumar, Parthiban, Prakash Raj, Raguman, Kishore, Ashwin, Nizhalgal Ravi, Riyas Khan, Lal, Mohan Raman and Balaji Sakthivel. Isai Puyal AR Rahman is composing the music for the film while Ravi Varman cranks the camera.
