Last night, a massive fire accident at Ramky CETP Solvent’s building in Vizag’s Pharma City engulfed the premises. It was reportedly caused by a slew of explosions that went out of hand.
Latest reports say that one fatality has been reported due to the accident. India Today has quoted a source as confirming the casualty.
As soon as the accident was reported to concerned authorities, firefighting operations were commissioned. It took at least 4-5 hours to bring the situation down to normalcy. At least 12 fire tenders were deployed for the purpose.
While the fire is believed to have started from a reactor, the precise cause is yet to be discovered.
Economic Times reported that authorities were hopeful that rain would contain the spread of the fire.
