Mahesh Babu Receives Legal Notice Over Real Estate Endorsement

July 7, 2025 Published by rajeshe092eb6a68

Superstar Mahesh Babu has landed in legal trouble after the Ranga Reddy District Consumer Commission issued notices to him following allegations of misleading endorsement. The case stems from a complaint filed by a Hyderabad-based doctor who claims she was duped into investing ?34.8 lakh in a non-existent plot promoted by Sai Surya Developers—a firm Mahesh Babu had endorsed.

The complainant alleged that Mahesh Babu’s association with the project gave it undue credibility, which ultimately led to her financial loss. The doctor is seeking accountability from the actor under consumer protection laws.

This is not the first time Mahesh Babu’s name has come up in connection with Sai Surya Developers. In April 2025, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoned the actor as part of a money laundering investigation involving the Sai Surya Developers and the Surana Group. As per ED reports, Mahesh Babu was allegedly paid ?5.9 crore, a portion of which was in cash, for endorsing their real estate ventures.

While Mahesh Babu is not listed as an accused at this stage, his involvement as a brand ambassador has drawn sharp scrutiny from both legal and enforcement agencies.

Despite the ongoing controversy, Mahesh Babu continues shooting for his highly anticipated project, SSMB 29, directed by SS Rajamouli, and co-starring Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran.

More developments are expected in the coming weeks as both the Consumer Commission and the ED deepen their inquiries.
