Speaking at the audio launch of 'SPYder', Mahesh Babu said that he had been wanting to work with Murugadoss ever since he watched 'Thuppakki', the Vijay-starrer. Mahesh revealed that 'I am waiting" is his favourite punchline of the Tamil superstar. (The line is from the film 'Kaththi', which was remade in Telugu as 'Khaidi No. 150')
Talking about 'SPYder', the superstar said that it was very challenging to do the action episodes. "Very demanding stunts are part of the movie. I would say that it's a thriller, a nail-biting one at that," Mahesh said.
"Doing the character in 'SPYder' felt very new. The role is now very close to my heart," Mahesh said.
Since the film marks his Tamil debut, Mahesh said that he is feeling like a newbie.
About the budget, he said that the film cost Rs. 120 Cr to be made in Telugu and Tamil.
