The Madurai Bench of the High Court has ordered the Central Government and Google’s India representative to respond to a petition seeking the removal of the teaser of the film “Bad Girl.”
The petition was filed by Madurai residents Venkatesh and Ramkumar in the High Court. They stated that the teaser of the movie “Bad Girl” was released on YouTube on January 26 and contains scenes depicting children in an obscene manner. The teaser is still available online.
The petitioners argued that such content constitutes child pornography, exploitation, and abuse, which are serious sexual offenses. They requested the court to order the removal of the obscene teaser from social media platforms.After reviewing the petition, Justice Dhanabal directed the Central Government and Google’s India representative to submit their responses. The case hearing has been postponed for further proceedings.
