The ongoing divorce case between actor Ravi Mohan (Jayam Ravi) and his wife Aarthi Ravi has taken a new legal turn. The Madras High Court has issued a directive prohibiting both parties from making defamatory statements against each other, particularly on public platforms and social media.
This development comes shortly after Aarthi Ravi filed a petition seeking ?40 lakh monthly maintenance, which is scheduled for hearing in June. In the midst of this, Aarthi made public remarks about Ravi Mohan’s recent appearance at a wedding event with singer Kenisha, fueling further controversy.
In response, Ravi Mohan filed a petition in the Madras High Court seeking to restrain Aarthi from making any further derogatory statements. The case was heard today, with legal representation from both sides present.
After reviewing the matter, the court ruled that:
Neither party should make defamatory remarks in public or online.
Previously shared statements of such nature should be removed from social media.
Both individuals are advised to refrain from airing grievances in public and instead express their concerns only in court.
The court’s decision has drawn public attention, as the high-profile separation continues to make headlines across media and social platforms. The next major hearing in the family court is expected to further clarify the terms of separation and maintenance.
