Shocking! Simbu’s ‘Maanaadu’ November 25th release cancelled officially

Simbu’s ‘Maanaadu’ touted as his real comeback film directed by Venkat Prabhu was first slated for release on Diwali earlier this month.  Due to unknown issues it was postponed to November 25th and bookings that opened a few days back showed highly positive response.  The film was expected to take the biggest opening ever for a Simbu film.

Unfortunately the disappointing news has now come in that ‘Maanaadu’ has been postponed.  Producer Suresh Kamatchi has taken to Twitter and wrote in Tamil “We created this film with a load of dreams and I awaited its release like a pregnant woman about to deliver her child.  With great pain I reveal that due to unforseen circumstances the release of ‘Maanaadu’ is postponed.  The new release date will be announced later’.

Simbu fans are expressing their disappointment on social media as they have been waiting for the better part of three years to watch ‘Maanaadu’.  The time loop based scifi thriller is directed by Venkat Prabhu with Yuvan Shankar Raja scoring the music.  Simbu, Kalyani Priyadarshan, S.J. Suryah, Karunakaran and SAC play important roles.
