Character artist CVL Narasimha Rao has come out with an agenda ahead of the MAA elections. He said that he would implement steps for the bifurcation of MAA into two (for Telangana and AP) if he becomes its President.

The news is that, on Monday, yesteryear star actress and politician Vijayashanthi said that she is in agreement with Rao's views. "Although I am not a member of the MAA, I certainly agree with the issues he has raised," the 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' artist said.
Rao had said that he is contesting in the elections to fight for justice for artists from Telangana, besides for the welfare of poor and middle-class artists from both Telangana and AP.
The fight for MAA's top post is only getting fierce. Vishnu Manchu, Prakash Raj, Jeevitha Rajasekhar and Hema are the other contenders. Last week, after Naga Babu made statements pointing a finger at the image of MAA, outgoing President VK Naresh hit back by listing out his contributions. In the coming weeks, as the elections inch closer, more such controversies are to be expected. Already, there is a row over Prakash Raj being an alleged outsider. RGV, among others, has defended the versatile actor. Naresh said that anyone who acts in Telugu movies can run for President.
