In a significant move to propel Indian cinema onto the global stage, Lyca Productions has announced a strategic partnership with Mahaveer Jain Films to produce nine feature films for international audiences. This ambitious collaboration draws inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary WAVES 2025 (World of Audio Visual Entertainment Summit) initiative, which envisions India as a global hub for content creation.
Dr. Allirajah Subaskaran, Chairman of Lyca Group, shared his excitement over the partnership, stating, “As a global enterprise with deep Indian roots, Lyca Group is perfectly positioned to serve as a bridge between Indian cinema and world audiences. We are tremendously excited to collaborate with Mahaveer Jain Films to create content that celebrates India’s rich cultural legacy and storytelling traditions.”
The announcement was made in the presence of Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Minister of State L. Murugan. Both Dr. Subaskaran and producer Mahaveer Jain reaffirmed their commitment to supporting India’s creative economy and contributing to the vision laid out at WAVES 2025.
This partnership aims to spotlight Indian narratives across genres and languages, strengthening India’s presence in the global entertainment landscape.
