The pre-release event of 'Love Story' was held on Sunday evening. Chiranjeevi, Aamir Khan, and Akkineni Nagarjuna were the chief guests.
Aamir Khan said that he offered to attend the event as a chief guest after watching the trailer of the movie. "I am very happy to be here. I am here today because I like Naga Chaitanya, who has acted in my movie 'Laal Singh Chadhha'. He is not only a good actor, but is also someone who steals your heart. He is a special person. It feels like I have known him for many years. I am going to watch 'Love Story' on September 24 itself even if it means taking special permission from authorities in Mumbai. I became a fan of Sai Pallavi when I watched her clip the first time. I have seen her videos on YouTube," the 'Dangal' actor added.
Naga Chaitanya said, "I have never got into the skin of a character before the way I did for this movie. It's only because of Sekhar Kammula garu. His honest approach, the depth he brings to the table, the kind of importance he gives his characters - they all made me believe that I should do whatever it takes for his movie. If you work with him, you will become a better actor, a better human invariably. 'Love Story' touches upon two sensitive issues. Sai Pallavi was very patient with me during song shoots."
Sekhar Kammula praised Aamir Khan to the skies. "He has made 'Satyameva Jayathe', the TV show, by forgoing revenue from other avenues. I think God has been making him do all those things. Coming to 'Love Story', it touches upon gender issues as well as caste-based discrimination. I and my team have constantly worked on 'Love Story' for three years, because its release got delayed because of the pandemic. The producers didn't budge. They didn't release it on OTT." Kammula praised the producers for their dedication and also said that the film was shot during the pandemic with strict Covid protocols.
Sai Pallavi said, "It's a dream come true to see Aamir Khan sir from two feet away. It was a grounding experience to work with Kammula sir on 'Love Story'. It was a great learning experience. It was an absolute pleasure to dance for Pawan's tunes." She thanked producers Narayan Das Narang, Suniel Narang and P Ram Mohan Rao for ensuring the movie's release only in theatres. "Naga Chaitanya was a very supportive co-star," the actress added.
