Lokesh Kanagaraj reveals hot updates about his long pending superhero project!

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj has been interacting with the fans and the media a lot lately owing to his latest blockbuster release ‘Vikram’. Now, the maker has opened up about his plans about making a superhero movie in Tamil cinema in the latest press meet. 

In one of his interviews with an entertainment portal, Lokesh revealed that he is a big fan of the Hollywood superhero franchise DC. Adding more fuel to the fans’ curiosity, he recently said that he would like to do films in the fantasy genre during a chat session on Twitter with the fans. The filmmaker was asked when he is going to make a superhero film. 

Lokesh Kanagaraj answered, “I am a big fan of DC. I have already written a SuperHero script ‘Irumbu Kai Maayavi’ & hope the project will take off in near future. The movie will have a reference to DC Comic named The Steel Claw.” Meanwhile, we have already informed you that ‘Irumbu Kai Maayavi’ is a long pending project of Lokesh, which was planned to go on floors after his debut ‘Maanagaram’. 

Suriya will play the protagonist in ‘Irumbu Kai Maayavi’ when it happens. It is worth mentioning that Suriya recently played a cameo as Rolex in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s directorial ‘Vikram’ and the actor will be seen as the main villain in the film’s sequel too. On the work front, Lokesh will be directing Vijay again in ‘Thalapathy 67’ next.
