Lokesh Kanagaraj Confirms ‘Khaithi 2’ After ‘Coolie’ – Here’s the Update on Suriya’s ‘Rolex’

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, one of Tamil cinema’s most sought-after filmmakers, has shared exciting updates about his upcoming projects — including Rolex with Suriya and his next directorial venture following Coolie.

Speaking to the press recently, Lokesh confirmed that Coolie, starring Superstar Rajinikanth, has completed its shoot and is set for release on August 14. He also revealed that dubbing for the film has officially begun.

When asked about the much-awaited Rolex, a spin-off centered on Suriya’s powerful character from Vikram, Lokesh said:

“Yes, Rolex with Suriya is definitely happening. But I can’t say exactly when. It all depends on both Suriya’s and my current schedules and commitments.”

While fans may have to wait a bit longer for Rolex, Lokesh didn’t leave them hanging — he officially confirmed that his next project after Coolie will be Khaithi 2, the highly anticipated sequel to his 2019 blockbuster Khaithi starring Karthi.

With Coolie set for a grand release, and Khaithi 2 and Rolex lined up, Lokesh Kanagaraj is clearly building his cinematic universe one blockbuster at a time.
