It is going to be an entertaining weekend for movie buffs as New Tamil biggies are set to make their digital debut this week. While the theatres are flooded with new releases from different languages, plenty of good films and series will be foraying into the streaming space.
1) Rudhran (Tamil) – Raghava Lawrence and Sarathkumar starrer mass film coming to SUN NXT on May 14 post-theatrical release. With music by GV Prakash, the family entertainer stars Priya Bhavani Shankar as the heroine.
2) Thiruvin Kural (Tamil) – Yet another arresting thriller from Arulnithi. The film also stars Bharathiraja in the main role. The movie will stream on Netflix on May 12.
3) Soppana Sundari (Tamil) – Aishwarya Rajesh starrer hyperlink comedy thriller will make its digital debut on Disney Plus Hotstar and Simply South on May 12.
4) Yaathisai (Tamil) – This is a well-researched rusty war drama based on ancient Tamil culture. The story revolves around the war between Pandiyas, Einas, Cholas and Cheras and the film comes to Amazon Prime Video on May 12.
5) Jawanum Mullapoovum (Malayalam) – premieres on Simply South on May 12.
6) Vikram Vedha (Hindi) – The remake of the Tamil blockbuster of the same name starring Hrithik Roshana and Saif Ali Khan. It will make its digital debut on Jio Cinema on May 12 and is free to watch.
7) Dahaad (Hindi) – This web series is set to stream on Amazon Prime on May 12.
8) Taj Reign of Revenge (Hindi) – New web show coming to ZEE5 on May 12.
9) Newsense (Telugu) – First season of the Bindhu Madhavi starrer web series is all set to debut in the Aha platform on May 12.
10) Air (English) – New sports biopic movie directed by Ben Affleck premieres on Amazon Prime Video on May 12.
11) The Mother (English) – streams on Netflix on May 12.
12) Evil Dead Rise (English) – debuts on Amazon Prime Video in rent format on May 12.
13) Queen Cleopatra (English) – New web series on Netflix streaming from May 12.
14) Triangle of Sadness (English) – This film comes to Sony Liv on May 12.
15) Missing Dead or Alive (English) – New Netflix series that releases on May 12.
16) Magic (Bengali) – New movies all set to stream on the Adda platform on May 12.
