‘Liger’: Pulsating, electrifying Glimpse drops!

Vijay Deverakonda has been imagined as an unstoppable Mixed Martial Artists participant by dashing director Puri Jagannadh in ‘Liger’. He is an underdog who gets introduced as a slumdog by a commentator in the riveting Glimpse of the film.

 

The caption ‘Saala Crossbreed’ is both stylish and irreverent. It’s also relevant to the character of the lead man, especially if you consider this line from the Glimpse: “Introducing the boy from India… Slum Dog Of Streets Of Mumbai… The Chai Wala… Liger…” Since the protagonist screams “We are Indians”, one can safely assume that ‘Liger’ also mixes patriotism with sports. The prevalence of the Indian flag and the rousing rendition of the punchline “Vaat Lagaa Denge” is solid.

The ‘Geetha Govindam’ actor has undergone a tremendous makeover. building up the right physique for the character. From the video, it is clear that the rise and rise of Liger in a challenging world is the crux of the story.

If Bollywood actor Ronit Roy has played the hero’s coach, senior artist Ramya Krishna has played the hero’s mother. The legendary Mike Tyson, despite having a pivotal role, has no presence in the video.

The film will hit the screens in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. Produced by Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur, Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta, ‘Liger’ also features Ali, Makarand Desh Pandey and Getup Srinu. Its stunts are by Kecha and cinematography is by Vishnu Sarma.

The film will hit the screens on August 25, 2022.
