'Chaavu Kaburu Challaga', whose teaser dropped on Monday, is a comedy-drama that seemingly casts Lavanya Tripathi in a realistic role. The actress plays a nurse in a hospital, where Basthi Balaraju (played by Kartikeya) frequents as part of his job (he drives a mortuary van in the movie).

For the looks of it, Lavanya is a girl-next-door in the Kaushik Pegallapati directorial. Incidentally, it was in one such role that she debuted in Telugu many years ago. 'Andala Rakshasi' had the actress in an adorable role. And the director of 'Chaavu Kaburu Challaga' may well have understood her biggest strengths here.

Her reaction to Kartikeya saying, "Manam preminchina ammai manak thappa migilinolandarki sister ane peeling edaithe undo" is both hilarious and effective. She delivers the line, "Naalugu peeki ikkada padukopedthe neeku kuda nenu sister ne avtha" with so much ease.

The 'Arjun Suravaram' actress is looking apt in both salwar and saree. Chinmayi Sripada's dubbing is spot-on.
