Lavanya Tripathi draws applause for her ‘Puli Meka’ performance

For those who are interested in a whodunit, ‘Puli Meka’ is the investigative thriller you must catch on ZEE5 anon. The 8-episode web series is directed by K Chakravarthy Reddy and has been written by showrunner Kona Venkat.

Lavanya Tripathi has been cast in the role of a duty-minded, well-trained IPS officer who comes with a troubled past in the series. Her performance in the Original has been up for unreserved praise from various quarters.

While the initial episodes present her as a cop with a razor-sharp focus to solve a murder mystery, later on, her character, named Kiran Prabha, acquires more weight. She gets to dominate the story without rendering other characters ineffective. She gets to be punchy, sarcastic, and emotional and also sheds a tear or two in the course of the series. The ‘Happy Birthday’ actress gets scenes with Aadi Saikumar, Suman, Siri Hanmanth and others.

The ‘A1 Express’ damsel is also doing a psychological thriller directed by Manjunatha. Produced by People Media Factory, it is going to be highly content-driven. In Tamil, Lavanya is doing a film with the hero Atharvaa. Titled ‘Thanal’, it is an action-thriller. It will most probably hit the screens in March.
