The 89th Oscar Academy Awards ceremony is currently happening in Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California,

The list of awards have been announced and presented while the full list is yet to arrive.

'La La Land', a musical romantic comedy drama which is still running successfully in Chennai and other parts of India has won multiple Oscars.

The film has been nominated under 14 categories and have won six awards.

The film's director Damien Chazelle at 32, became the youngest ever director to win an Oscar Award for Best Director.

Best Actress award went to Emma Stone for her performance as the female lead in this film.

The other Oscars for the film include Best Cinematography (Linus Sandgren), Best Production Design, Best Original Score (Justin Hurwitz) and the Best Original Song for the song'City of Stars' (Justin Hurwitz, Pasek and Paul).

A few more important awards including the award for the Best Film is yet to be announced.
