Kuberaa Crosses Rs.100 Crore Mark, Emerges as a Blockbuster

Director Sekhar Kammula’s bilingual social drama Kuberaa has officially joined the ?100 crore club, marking a significant milestone at the global box office. The makers announced the achievement with a celebratory poster that declared, “Unanimous Mega Blockbuster – ?100+ CR Worldwide Gross Estimate.” The film stars Dhanush, Nagarjuna, and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles.
Taking to their official X handle, the team wrote:
“Wealth. Wisdom. And now… ?100+CR worth of WAVE. #Kuberaa rules with a grand century at the box office.”
The film has witnessed consistent growth across all languages and markets, raking in an estimated ?61.25 crore net in India and ?23.5 crore from overseas markets. Within India, the Telugu version led the domestic charge with ?43.1 crore, followed by the Tamil version with ?16.6 crore.
Critics and audiences alike have praised Kuberaa for its compelling narrative, impactful performances, and high-quality technical execution. The film’s leading trio—Dhanush, Nagarjuna, and Rashmika Mandanna—has been widely lauded for their powerful portrayals, contributing significantly to the film’s widespread appeal.
Set against a backdrop of crime, morality, and redemption, Kuberaa follows the interwoven lives of Deva, a homeless man caught in a high-stakes scam, and Deepak, a disgraced former CBI officer with a troubled past. The ensemble cast also includes Jim Sarbh in a key role.
Produced by Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations, Kuberaa was shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil, with dubbed versions released in Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. The film’s cinematography is by Niketh Bommi, music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, and the production design is handled by Ramakrishna Sabbani and Monika Nigotre.
Following its theatrical success, Kuberaa is set to stream on Prime Video. The film’s commercial and critical success not only reaffirms Sekhar Kammula’s stature as a master storyteller but also positions Kuberaa as one of the biggest cinematic triumphs of the year.
