KTR Says Jubilee Hills Bypoll Will Decide Revanth Reddy’s Tenure as CM

BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) on Sunday said that the outcome of the Jubilee Hills bypoll would determine whether Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy remains in office for three years or just three months.

Addressing a massive roadshow in Yousufguda, KTR took a jibe at the Chief Minister’s recent remarks that the Congress government would continue in power for three more years. “If Maganti Sunitha wins in Jubilee Hills, people will know whether Revanth Reddy’s term lasts three years or three months,” he said.

KTR claimed that several Congress leaders from Khammam and Nalgonda were already preparing to take their issues to Delhi, indicating internal unrest within the ruling party.

In a lighter vein, KTR urged voters to “fold up that chair…” — a witty twist on a popular Telugu song — symbolizing his call to end Congress’s rule in the state.

Criticizing the Congress government, he alleged that it had failed to deliver on its promises and said voters should “teach the party a lesson.” He further claimed that Mohd. Azharuddin was given a ministerial post merely out of fear of losing the Jubilee Hills bypoll.

KTR appealed to the electorate to give the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) another chance, promising to address the people’s issues with sincerity and commitment.

Accusing the Congress of targeting the poor, he alleged that the government was demolishing Indiramma houses, with bulldozers reportedly arriving at the homes of underprivileged citizens on weekends. “Thousands of houses have been demolished in two years,” he said, questioning whether anyone would vote for those who destroy homes in the name of Indiramma Rajyam.

Concluding his address, KTR urged voters to support the car symbol — the BRS party’s emblem — “to stop the bulldozer” and vowed that if Maganti Sunitha wins the bypoll, K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) will return as Chief Minister within 500 days.
