With KT Rama Rao describing the BJP as a communal party that only focuses on Hindu-Muslim issues ahead of the GHMC polls, Nizamabad MP and BJP leader Arvind Dharmapuri has plugged an old interview of the TRS leader, where he is heard saying that the Vajpayee years were relatively more peaceful and provided better stability than the Congress governments.
"KTR, who is going gaga over communalism and communal riots now, had said differently about how the BJP upheld its promise of keeping harmony in the country and in fact it proved much better than Congress govt in the past (sic)," Arvind wrote on Twitter.
In the interview, KTR said that a fear psychosis was created among Muslims that the BJP will not let them live in the country if it comes to power because he had got the Babri Masjid demolished. "Communal riots actually came down during the BJP's rule," KTR added.
