‘Kousalya Krishnamurthy’ Teaser: Story of grit, determination

‘Kousalya Krishnamurthy’ comes with the caption ‘The Cricketer’.  Playing the titular role is Aishwarya Rajesh, who grows up to be a sporting champion living through poverty, discrimination and worse.  

Starring Rajendra Prasad in a supporting role, the village-based sports drama has Kollywood star Sivakarthikeyan in a special role.  Much depends on how village life is portrayed in the film and how convincing the story of Kousalya’s rise is told.  

Jhansi gets to play a melodramatic role once again after ‘Mallesham’.  Also featuring Karthik Raju, CVL Narasimha Rao, comedian Vennela Kishore, ‘Rangasthalam’ Mahesh, Vishnu (‘Taxiwala’ fame), and Ravi Prakash, the film has been directed by Bheemaneni Srinivasa Rao.

Produced by KA Vallabha and presented by KS Rama Rao, its story is by Arunraja Kamraja.  With music by  Dhibu Ninan Thomas, its cinematography is by I Andrew.  Dialogues are by Hanumaan Choudary.
