‘Korean Kanakaraju’ to Premiere a Day Early; Varun Tej Promises a Complete Entertainer

Mega Prince Varun Tej is gearing up to entertain audiences with his upcoming horror-comedy Korean Kanakaraju, directed by Merlapaka Gandhi. Backed by UV Creations in association with First Frame Entertainment, the film is all set for a grand worldwide theatrical release on August 7. Ahead of its release, the makers hosted a grand pre-release event in Bhimavaram, where the cast and crew expressed confidence that the film will emerge as a complete family entertainer.
Speaking at the event, Varun Tej assured audiences that Korean Kanakaraju would offer a memorable theatrical experience.
“Get ready for non-stop entertainment from August 7. I’m confident everyone will thoroughly enjoy this film. I had earlier visited Bhimavaram during the promotions of Tholi Prema, and that film became a huge success. Seeing the same excitement here today makes me believe the magic will repeat with Korean Kanakaraju,” he said.
The actor praised director Merlapaka Gandhi for his comic timing and unique vision.
“Gandhi has an excellent sense of comedy, and I believe this film will become another big hit in his career. He has presented me in a completely new avatar,” Varun added.
He also showered praise on music director S. Thaman, saying the film’s background score plays a crucial role.
“This is my third film with Thaman. I recently watched the re-recording, and the music has elevated every scene. I spent the last ten days with him during the final stages of post-production, and he has truly breathed life into the film,” he said.
Speaking about his co-stars, Varun appreciated Ritika Nayak, calling her a wonderful co-star, and said comedian Satya’s character Krishnappa would leave audiences in splits.
One of the biggest announcements at the event was regarding the film’s premiere shows. Varun revealed that, thanks to the team’s confidence in the film, special premieres will be held across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on the night of August 6, a day ahead of the official worldwide release.
“We are bringing the film to audiences a day early because we strongly believe in its content. From the night of August 6, audiences in AP and Telangana can watch Korean Kanakaraju in theatres. We are sure you will love the experience,” he stated.
Actress Ritika Nayak thanked director Merlapaka Gandhi for giving her the opportunity to play the memorable role of Chaitra.
“I learned a lot while working with Gandhi garu. It was a wonderful experience sharing screen space with Varun Tej, and I hope audiences shower their love on the film when it releases on August 7,” she said.
Music director S. Thaman expressed immense confidence in the project.
“Korean Kanakaraju is a very special film. Gandhi has made it with a fantastic vision. I watched the complete film yesterday, and it has come out brilliantly. I’m sure audiences are going to enjoy it,” Thaman remarked.
Guests Manthena Ramaraju and Nishanth wished the team success and hoped the film would surpass the success of Tholi Prema. Singer Nalgonda Gaddar, who has lent his voice to one of the songs, also expressed happiness over the response to the soundtrack and wished the film a blockbuster run.
With its blend of horror, comedy, and supernatural elements, Korean Kanakaraju is set for a grand worldwide theatrical release on August 7, while audiences in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will get an early chance to watch the film through special premiere shows on the night of August 6.
