‘Konda Polam’: Rakul Preet Singh as Obulamma

A village belle clad in the half-saree is seen in a gentle and romantic embrace of a young man. That’s Rakul Preet’s Obulamma for you, in the Panjaa Vaisshnav Tej-starrer ‘Konda Polam’. Director Krish Jagarlamudi has cast the star actress in a brave character. She is a shepherd girl in the author-backed role. 

Unveiling the look, Rakul said, “Here she is Obulamma, my most-loved character, a shepherd girl of unbelievable bravery, charisma, and a beautiful understanding of love and life!”

The film will hit the screens on October 8. 

Sai Chand, Kota Srinivas Rao, Nasser, Annapurna, Hema, Anthony, Ravi Prakash, Mahesh Vitta, Racha Ravi, and Anand Vihari have played different roles.

The film, which is produced by Saibabu Jagarlamudi and Rajeev Reddy, is based on a Telugu novel penned by Sannapureddy Venkata Rami Reddy. MM Keeravani and Gnana Shekar VS have done the music and cinematography, respectively. If editing is by Shravan Katikaneni, art direction is by Raj Kumar Gibson. Costumes are by Aishwarya Rajeev, while Venkat is the action director.
