Kiran Abbavaram Announces ‘Indraputra’ as Pan-India Mythological Action-Fantasy

Young hero Kiran Abbavaram is currently enjoying an interesting phase in his career, delivering a hat-trick of successful films across different genres. After the thriller ‘KA’, the mass entertainer ‘K-Ramp’ and the emotional love story ‘Chennai Love Story’, the actor is now gearing up for an ambitious new project that takes him into the world of mythology and fantasy.

Titled ‘Indraputra’ and referred to as KA15, the film has been officially announced as a pan-India mythological action-fantasy. The project is being produced by Zee Studios and Prerna Arora, while debutant Srikanth Puppala is making his directorial debut with the film.

The makers have bigger plans for ‘Indraputra’, announcing it as the first chapter of an expansive mythological universe. Inspired by Indian mythology, the story is built around the eternal conflict between dharma and adharma, combining mythology, high-octane action, fantasy and emotion.

Kiran Abbavaram is set to appear in a completely new and powerful avatar for the film. Given the scale and genre of the project, ‘Indraputra’ marks a significant departure from the actor’s recent outings and is expected to showcase him in a larger-than-life role.

The film is currently in the pre-production stage, with regular shooting scheduled to begin in October. The makers are planning a worldwide theatrical release next year and are positioning the project as a major pan-India production.

Keerthan has provided the story, while Tanvi N Dutta has penned the screenplay. Keerthan and Kussum Arora are serving as co-producers. With its mythological backdrop, fantasy elements and plans for a larger cinematic universe, ‘Indraputra’ is shaping up as one of the most ambitious projects in Kiran Abbavaram’s career.
