Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata OTT Release: Kangana Ranaut’s Film to Premiere Date Announced

This Independence Day, ZEE5 is bringing the Hindi thriller-drama Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata directly to audiences through its digital platform. The film will have its exclusive OTT premiere on August 14, 2026, making it a timely watch for the national holiday.

Written and directed by Manoj Tapadia, the film is produced by PEN Studios, Manikarnika Films and Paramhans Creations, in association with Eunoia Films LLP and Floating Rocks Entertainment Pvt Ltd. The movie features Kangana Ranaut, Girija Oak and Smita Tambe in key roles.

Set against the backdrop of the devastating 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata focuses on the lesser-known stories of ordinary people who displayed extraordinary courage during one of the darkest chapters in India’s history.

The story is set inside Mumbai’s Cama and Albless Hospital, where nurses, ward boys, cleaners, security personnel and other hospital staff were forced to confront an unimaginable situation when terrorists entered the hospital premises. With limited means of protection, these individuals put the safety of their patients ahead of their own lives.

Rather than focusing only on the widely known events of the 26/11 attacks, the film attempts to highlight the unsung heroes whose courage and selfless service helped protect countless lives. Their actions form the emotional core of the narrative.

Kangana Ranaut leads the cast in an emotionally intense role, while Girija Oak and Smita Tambe are also part of the film’s ensemble. The narrative combines thriller elements with themes of sacrifice, compassion, resilience and the strength of the human spirit.
