Sexual abuse at the hands of known people has been an acknowledged fact. In the wake of the Me Too movement in 2018, many women came out in the open and spoke of their suffering at the hands of their brothers, fathers, male friends, etc.
Yesteryear star actress Khushbu Sundar is the latest one to do so. She has revealed that her father abused her sexually when she was 8 to 15 years of age.
Khushbu’s experience at a tender age must have scarred her a lot. She has been appreciated by many for talking about her ordeal in the interest of awareness among women against sexual crimes.
A National Executive Committee member of the BJP, she was recently nominated by the Modi government to the National Commission for Women. Her tenure will be three years. Seen in last year’s ‘Aadavaalu Meeku Johaarlu’, she is currently doing Gopichand-Sriwass’ ‘Rama Banam’ in Telugu. The film will hit the screens on May 5.
