Gone are the days when Kannada cinema was only about remakes from Hindi, Tamil and Telugu films and the one film that changed the face of the entire industry was undoubtedly 'KGF' and its sequel which brough in over rupees two thousand crores together.
Yash before the KGF phenomena, acted in more than 20 films, most of which were remakes. He tasted his first success by starring in the Kannada remake of the sleeper hit Tamil film 'Kalavani'. The film titled 'Kirataka' had Oviya reprising the role she played in the original and was as big a success as the Vemal starrer.
