Whoa! Makers break silence about ‘KGF Chapter 3’ in this new video – Exciting deets

‘KGF’ is a two-part neo-noir masala film franchise that shattered the Indian box office. The period gangster saga starred Kannada star Yash as the iconic ‘Rocky Bhai’ and was directed by Prashant Neel. While the director is working on his next ‘Salaar’ with Prabhas, ‘KGF Chapter 2’ celebrates its first release anniversary.

‘KGF Chapter 1’ was released in 2018 and emerged as the highest-grossing film in the Kannada industry which resulted in sky-high expectations for the sequel. Chapter 2 landed on the screens after several delays due to the pandemic on 14 April 2022 but lived up to its expectations and joined the elite 1000-crore club at the box office.

‘KGF Chapter 2’ ends with the death of Rocky Bhai but the creators left a hint that there might be a third installment of ‘KGF’ in the future. Today, as KGF Chapter 2 celebrated its release anniversary, the production house took to social media to unveil a multilingual special video compiling mass moments of the KGF franchise.

Meanwhile, the hot news is that the promo video spilt beans on ‘KGF Chapter 3’. While the producers have already confirmed the threequel, it is now official that the third part will start rolling soon. The message in the special video reads, “Where was Rocky from 1978-1981? Mother of all collisions is yet to be witnessed. Was the promise kept? 3” (sic).

It is worth mentioning that there is a portion in Chapter 2 when Rocky Bhai didn’t trade any gold from the KGF, that is from 1978 to 1981. It is now safe to say that Rocky may not be coming back alive in Chapter 3 but we are going to witness what he was doing during those four years. More details on this magnum opus project are awaited.
