The other day, star journalist Rajdeep Sardesai claimed that Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao had conveyed to Opposition parties that he will fund the entire election campaign if he is made the PM candidate. The claim has become a sensation of sorts. While it is just a claim without evidence, the BJP has understandably stepped up its anti-KCR tirades.
The saffron party is saying that KCR must be mega rich to fund the entire campaign although BRS is just a regional party. “As per Sardesai, KCR has offered to finance the entire 2024 campaign provided he is made the chairperson of opposition alliance… So, according to the journalist, KCR is willing to buy prime ministerial nomination… But at what cost? Where does KCR get so much money from? Liquor?,” asked Amit Malviya, the BJP National Spokesperson, in an obvious reference to the liquor scam.
BJP functionaries from Telangana are alleging that TRS aka BRS must have amassed so much wealth in the last nine years. “According to Sardesai, KCR Garu offered to finance the entire 2024 campaign provided he is made the chairperson of the opposition alliance. From where BRS got so much money? Another massive scam loading?” asked Vishnu Vardhan Reddy.
