KCR to import Arvind Kejriwal’s models?

On Saturday, the Aam Admi Party’s official Twitter handle said that Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao will be paying a visit to Delhi. Flanked by Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, the TRS supremo will be visiting a government school and a Mohalla clinic in Delhi in the evening. 

The AAP government has, from the beginning, projected Delhi’s government schools and Mohalla clinics as models that can be aped by other States. In fact, AAP believes that these schools and clinics are a major reason AAP won a second term in 2020. 

It is not known why exactly KCR is visiting a school and a clinic today. It could be to impress Kejriwal politically. Or, he may be genuinely interested in importing the models to Telangana. 

Earlier today, KCR also called on Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav in Uttar Pradesh. It’s meant to be a political national tour. SP recently lost to the BJP in the UP Assembly elections. SP’s Lok Sabha tally is expected to be dismal in 2024 unless a miracle happens. Many are wondering why KCR wants to hobnob with the failing Hindi belt leader.
