Karthi’s energy level in the ‘Sardar’ first single is unmatchable – Watch here

Karthi, who is currently basking in the success of his recent film ‘Ponniyin Selvan 1’, is ready for his Diwali release ‘Sardar’ slated to hit the screens on October 21st. Touted to be a spy thriller, Karthi will sport multiple looks in the film which also stars Raashi Khanna and is directed by PS Mithran.

GV Prakash has composed the musical score in Sardar and he already updated the fans that Karthi sang the folk song ‘Yerumayileri’, which will be launched as the first single. The power-packed folk number was unveiled today by the makers. Yugabharathi wrote the lyrics for the song which chronicles the adventures of Lord Murugan.

In the music video, Karthi was seen in the look of a street play artist performing in front of an audience. The song was so full of energy and enthusiasm. The video also featured BTS-making clips of Sardar. It is worth mentioning that the busy hero has already sung songs in ‘Saguni’, ‘Biryani’, ‘Party’ and most recently in ‘Kanam/Oke Oka Jeevitham’.

‘Sardar’ is produced by Prince Pictures with George C Williams and Ruben handling the camera and the editing, respectively. The star cast includes Karthi in a dual role as Kathiravan IPS and Sardar Sakthi, Raashii Khanna as a lawyer, Rajisha Vijayan, Chunky Pandey, Laila, Murali Sharma, Munishkanth, Sahana Vasudevan, Ilavarasu, Rithvik and Yugi Sethu.
