Karthi starrer ‘Sardar’ gets an official release date – Runtime revealed!

Fans and audiences are now pouring in praises for Karthi’s captivating performance as Vallavarayan Vandhiyathevan in ‘Ponniyin Selvan 1’ directed by Mani Ratnam. The film, also featuring Vikram, Trisha Krishnan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Jayam Ravi, is based on the eponymous novel by Kalki Krishnamurthy. 

Meanwhile, Karthi’s next film ‘Sardar’ is gearing up for a grand Diwali release. Today, the distributor Red Giant Movies officially announced that the spy action thriller is releasing on October 21 and the makers have planned to promote Sardar just like how ‘PS1’ makers promoted their film.Sources say that the runtime of the movie is around 2 hours and 46 minutes.

The official censor and runtime reports will be out once the film passes the censor process. The star cast includes Karthi in a dual role as Kathiravan IPS and Sardar Sakthi, Raashii Khanna as a lawyer, Rajisha Vijayan, Chunky Pandey, Laila, Murali Sharma, Munishkanth, Sahana Vasudevan, Ilavarasu, Rithvik and Yugi Sethu. 

‘Sardar’, directed by PS Mithran, is produced by Prince Pictures with George C Williams and Ruben handling the camera and the editing, respectively. On the work front, Karthi will start shooting for his next project ‘Japan’ directed by Raju Murugan with Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. He will start working for the much-awaited ‘Kaithi 2’ next year.
