The immense growth of social media is bringing to light many bizzarre incidents that would have gone unnoticed in a different era where cell phones with cameras never existed. Prakash a Karnataka government bus driver was removed from duty after a passenger uploaded a video of him allowing a monkey (Langoor breed) to take the steering wheel for about two minutes.
Prakash is seen enjoying the Langoor monkey half driving the bus which was loaded with passengers plying from Devangare to Bharamasagara. The incident occurred on October 1st and though no complaint was registered against Prakash due to incessant phone calls to the branch office of the KSRTC the officials have removed him from duty.
The officials have stated to newsmen that passenger safety and comfort is their first priority and after an inquiry Prakash may be suspended from duty or get severe punishment.
