An interesting connection between Kamal’s ‘Thoongavanam’ and Vijay’s ‘Yohan Adhyayam Ondru’

As we had reported earlier actor Kamal Haasan’s upcoming film ‘Thoongavanam’ which is presently in post-production stage is the official remake of the French film ‘Sleepless Night’. The original film had actor Tomer Sisley in an important role.

The same actor had earlier acted in a 2008 French film ‘Largo Winch’. This film was supposed to be remade in Tamil as ‘Yohan Adhyayam Ondru’ by director Gautham Menon with Vijay in lead role. The remake idea was, however dropped after initial promotions.

That comes as an interesting connection between the ‘Ulaganayagan’ and ‘Ilayathalapathy’.
