With the escalating tension between India and Pakistan making headlines, actor and filmmaker Kamal Haasan has made a significant gesture by postponing the audio launch of his upcoming film Thuglife. The event, originally scheduled for May 16, has been deferred in light of the current national situation.
Announcing the decision on social media, Kamal Haasan issued a thoughtful statement that read:
“Art can wait. India first.”
He continued, “Given the heightened tension along the borders and the sensitive security environment, we have decided to postpone the audio launch of Thuglife. While our soldiers are fulfilling their duty with courage and resolve, this is not a time for celebration. It is a time for silent solidarity.”
Kamal also emphasized that a new date for the event will be announced once the situation allows.
“Our thoughts are with the brave heroes standing guard for our safety. As responsible citizens, we must respond with patience and unity. This moment calls not for celebration, but reflection,” he concluded.
The decision has been widely appreciated by fans and the public, with many lauding Kamal Haasan for his sensitivity and patriotic stand.
