Dont Miss! Kamal Haasan’s masterclass on how he made ‘Michael Madana Kamarajan’

Kamal Haasan is no doubt one of the if not the highest-rated actors ever in the history of Indian cinema who has constantly strived to put Tamil cinema on the world map for the past four decades or so.  He is distinct in his artistry as his films in the lighter vein are as much material for study by film students as his deeply intense ones.

One of Kamal Haasan’s biggest box office hits and an all-time fan favorite is ‘Michael Madana Kamarajan’ (1991) which had him play quadruplets separated at birth.  While for the most part of the film he will don four different getups for each character during the majority of the second half of the film he showed the differences in each character in a single getup.

Fans have been in awe of ‘Michael Madana Kamarajan’ for years and recently the hotshot Malayalam director Alphonse Putheran of ‘Premam’ and ‘Neram’ fame requested the Ulaganayagan to do a masterclass on the film.  The legendary actor has obliged and done just that in a series of Instagram m posts which are a goldmine, to say the least.  Do check them out here for all the insight on your evergreen favorite laugh-fest flick.
