The Byelection for four TN constituencies Thiruparankundram, Sulur, Aravankurichi and Ottapidaram is being held on May 19th. Kamal Haasan will be touring the four towns to campaign for the candidates who are contesting on behalf of the Makkal Neethi Maiam party.
Balamurugan a member of the Makkal Neethi Maiam died recently in the Sulur office of the party and his widow has given a petition to the collector of Coimbatore demanding that Kamal should not be allowed to campaign in the town. The reason she has given is that being the party leader Kamal Haasan did not even issue a condolence message to the death of her husband. A sensation has been created due to the issue and it is still unknown what the reaction of Kamal is in this regard.
