Kamal Haasan launches his daughter Shruti Haasan’s video song Inimel

Earlier this year, it was reported that Kamal Haasan’s production banner Raajkamal Films International (RKFI) is producing its next project, titled ‘Inimel’, featuring the actor’s daughter Shruti and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, known for his work in the film Vikram. Initially, there was no clarity about the project, but the makers have now confirmed that it is a song video. Kamal shared a poster on social media crediting himself as the lyricist of the song, Shruthi as the conceptualizer and composer, and also introducing Lokesh Kanagaraj as an actor, marking his debut in front of the camera opposite Shruti.

Directed by Dwarkesh Prabakar, ‘Inimel’ has Bhuvan Gowda as its cinematographer, Philomin Raj as the editor, Sriram Iyengar as the production designer, and Sowndar Nallasamy as the art director.

Celebrating his 38th birthday, filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj is poised to embark on a new chapter in his career, making his acting debut in a production by Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International.

The lyrics of ‘Inimel’ are penned by Kamal Haasan himself, using Gen-Z lingo for the song, which will be composed and conceptualized by Shruti Haasan. Shruti has been focused on producing independent music in India and recently gained attention for her music video “Monster Machine,” which she wrote, composed, and sang. The song generated immense interest and excited all the fans and  movie lovers and they are now waiting eagerly for the more such surprises from Shruti Haasan and Kamal Haasan. They are waiting to know the release date of Inimel.

The producers are yet to reveal the release date of ‘Inimel’. Kamal Haasan is currently working on Mani Ratnam’s next ‘Thug Life’, while Lokesh is directing his yet-to-be-titled Rajinikanth-starrer, tentatively titled ‘Thalaivar 171’. Shruti will be seen next in the adaptation of ‘Arrangements of Love’, titled ‘Chennai Story’, and ‘Dacoit’ with Adivi Sesh.
