Kamal Haasan is against ‘damaging’ project

Universal Star Kamal Haasan had been vehemently supporting the pro-Jallikattu protests spearheaded by youngsters and students. He has also been vocal about the ongoing political crisis in Tamil Nadu, taking an open stand on the issue of political transition.

The versatile legend's latest tweets offer support for a campaign undertaken by environmental activists and youngsters in TN.  The proposed  Hydrocarbon extraction project planned by the Union Govenrment, in Neduvasal near Pudukottai, has incurred the wrath of farmers and the people.  It is feared that the project, if implemented, will sound the death knell for the farming activity in that locality.

Kamal has posted a series of tweets against the project which is perceived to be against the environment and the livelihood of poor people. He has also appreciated the  Chief Minister of Pondicherry for his clear stand against Hydrocarbon project. He has also shared his admiration for the students of TN who have started protesting for the farmer and people.
