Legendary actor and Makkal Needhi Maiam leader Kamal Haasan is in hospital since November 22nd after testing positive for COVID 19. He returned from Chicago a few days before that and had symptoms of cold and fever. The hospital management in Chennai and Kamal's daughter Shruti Haasan have updated that his condition is stable and he is recovering well.

Meanwhile a rumour started doing the rounds on social media that Kamal got discharged from the hospital today. Murali Abbas the public relations officer of MNM has clarified that his leader is still in the hospital and expressed confidence that he will return home fully cured soon.

Kamal on Saturday appeared on 'Bigg Boss 5' from the hospital through video conference to introduce the new host Ramya Krishnan. Fans were delighted to see him in good spirits. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj has also postponed the shooting of 'Vikram' to accomodate the hero's recovery process.
