‘Kadhal’, ‘Sivakasi’ fame Karattandi Arun gets married to his lover

The cult classic movie ‘Kadhal’ produced by Shankar and directed by Balaji Shakthivel was released in 2004 and not only became a blockbuster hit but also won several awards.  The film is still hailed as one of the best love stories filmed in Tamil cinema.  Bharath and Sandhiya played the lead pair and the latter along with actor Sukumar got the film title prefixed to their names.

Audiences can never forget the child actor Arun who played Karattandi the assistant of Bharath the mechanic in ‘Kadhal’.  His comedic antics provided hilarity to an otherwise serious film and the role became memorable.  Arun later also played an important character in Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Sivakasi’ and a few other films.

Arun is said to have fallen in love with a girl a couple of years back and with the consent of both the families got married.  ‘Kadhal’ Sukumar along with his family graced the occasion and blessed the young couple.
