Jyothika who ruled as the number one Kollywood leading lady took time off on her career after her marriage to Suriya in 2006. However after ten long years she made a memorable comeback with '36 Vayadhinile' and has since cemented her place as one of the two most bankable female stars in Tamil cinema.

Jyothika's next movie has reportedly been titled as 'Ratchasi' which is produced by Dream Warrior Pictures and directed by debutante S. Raj in which she plays a fiery school teacher. It is worth mentioning that Jo is known as the "Nadippu Ratchasi" and its a very apt title for her as well though there is no official confirmation yet. In her lineup she has a film produced by husband Suriya directed by Kalyan and Jithu Joseph's next in which she costars brother in law Karthi.
