Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s latest release Hari Hara Veera Mallu has struck gold at the box office, emerging as a blockbuster. The film, which highlights the destruction of Hindu temples during the Mughal era, has been receiving wide appreciation for its powerful narrative and portrayal of Sanatana Dharma.
Director Jyothi Krishna shared insights into the film’s layered storytelling, revealing how Veera Mallu (Pawan Kalyan) was designed as a guardian of Vedic wisdom. “At a time when Vedic texts were being destroyed, Veera Mallu stood against all odds. He transformed himself into a Vedic scholar, decoding and preserving sacred texts so that this knowledge could never be lost. Raised in a temple, Veera Mallu embodies Vedic principles and becomes a formidable force,” he explained.
The director also delved into how Vastu Shastra and the five elements — Earth (Prithvi), Water (Jal), Fire (Agni), Air (Vayu), and Space (Akasha) — influence Veera Mallu’s journey. “His knowledge helps create harmony with nature. For example, he saves Gulfam Khan (Kabir Duhan Singh) from a landslide and performs a Varuna Yagam to end a drought in a village. His compassion extends to animals as well — his connection with a wolf stems from the Vedic principle of Ahimsa,” he added.
Drawing parallels with the Ramayana, Jyothi Krishna described Veera Mallu’s journey from Golconda to the Delhi Sultanate as a symbolic path of good deeds rooted in Vedic thought. “Just as Lord Rama’s journey was marked by noble acts at various places, Veera Mallu’s mission blends history and mythology, presenting him as a protector of Sanatana Dharma,” he said.
The director teased an intense climax, describing the showdown between Veera Mallu and Aurangzeb as a “catastrophic, whirlwind-like event that sets the stage for high-voltage drama and leaves audiences on a cliffhanger.”
To enhance the visual experience, the film also underwent a VFX upgrade. With strong word of mouth and robust weekend bookings, Hari Hara Veera Mallu continues its triumphant run at the box office.
