‘Jugjugg Jeeyo’, the upcoming Hindi-language comedy-drama headlined by Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani, is in trouble. Pakistani singer Abrar Ul Haq has claimed that a song titled ‘Nach Punjaban’ from the movie is plagiarized. Haq said that the song’s tune is his.
In a tweet, the singer said that producers like Karan Johar should not copy songs. After his tweet, T-Series claimed that it owns the song’s legal rights.
“I have not sold my song to any Indian movie and reserve the rights to go to court to claim damages. This is my sixth song to be copied. I will not allow it. The song has not been licensed to anyone. If someone is claiming it, then produce the agreement. I will be taking legal action,” Haq added.
In other news, a writer named Vishal A Singh has claimed that the film’s story was written by him.
