It is official: Hollywood star Jennifer Lopez has cancelled a number of shows across seven cities on her most-awaited This Is Me... Now: The Tour. Starting August 22, the superstar has scheduled her performances in various cities, which include Nashville, New Orleans, Raleigh, Atlanta, Houston, Cleveland, and Tampa.
Organizers of the event, Ticketmaster, announced the cancellation of the performances and assured ticket holders that they would receive "fast, automatic" full refunds without needing to take any action. Neither Jennifer Lopez nor her representatives explained the sudden cancellations.
Lopez looked quiet and solemn after the announcement. She went to a dance studio in Los Angeles. She was all incognito, with her big shades on, covering her eyes, in sweats and sneakers, all dressed down.
Speculations suggest that the cancellation may be related to her husband Ben Affleck's birthday, although no official announcement has been made.
Some of the more disappointed fans flocked to Ticketmaster's website to leave comments in regard to the cancellations. The concert kicking off June 26 in Orlando, FL, marks Lopez's first tour in more than five years. This will be a combination of her hits and a few tracks from the new album This Is Me. Now released in February worldwide. This tour follows 2019's 'It's My Party Tour' while happening at the same time as her album and documentary releases, inspired by her spouse.
Although she teased that ‘This Is Me... Now’ might just be her swan song, Lopez couldn’t help but be excited at this new opportunity.
