After months of uncertainty and multiple delays, Thalapathy Vijay’s much-awaited film Jana Nayagan has finally cleared all legal and censor formalities, paving the way for its theatrical release.
The film has been awarded an ‘A’ certificate by the Censor Board and has a runtime of 183 minutes.
Originally conceived as Vijay’s farewell film before his full-fledged entry into politics, Jana Nayagan was initially slated for a Sankranthi 2026 release. However, legal issues and censor-related hurdles led to repeated postponements, leaving fans waiting for an official update.
During the delay, Vijay’s political journey reached a historic milestone. Elections were held, and he went on to become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, making Jana Nayagan even more significant as it is widely expected to be his final film as a lead actor.
Directed by H. Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions, the film is now all set for its theatrical release. With the censor process complete, the makers are expected to announce the official release date in the coming days, much to the excitement of Vijay’s fans.
