Veteran producer KS Rama Rao today said in Kurnool that the YS Jaganmohan Reddy government has reached out to ‘Roudram Ranam Rudhiram’. He made the comment with reference to the permission to hike the cinema ticket prices keeping the budget of the movie in view.
The producer also opined that the Andhra Pradesh government is taking steps for the benefit of both big and small movies. Rama Rao said that steps are afoot to develop a film city in Kurnool over 12 acres of land. “Kurnool will be developed as a film industry hub. After Ugadi, we will hold deliberations with the government,” he added.
He commented that Kurnool is an ideal location for building a small-scale film industry ecosystem. “A film club can be set up here,” the producer added.
It has to be seen if Jagan’s attempts to make Kurnool an industry hub will pay off.
