Madhavan says he can never beat Arvind Swamy

There are a lot of similarities between Madhavan and Arvind Swamy two of the most dashing heroes who enjoy a pan Indian fan following. Both of them are Maniratnam protoges and were once considered chocolate boys but Arvind Swamy went for a complete image makeover after playing the baddie Siddharth Abhimanyu in ‘Thani Oruvan’ and Maddy has been more versatile taking on different type of roles in ‘Ayutha Ezhuthu’, ‘Evano Oruvan’, ‘Manmadhan Ambu’ , ‘Vettai’ and now he is topping it up with a much talked about riveting performance as a beefed up boxer in tomorrow's release ‘Irudhi Suttru’.

It has been reported that Maddy was first approached by Mohan Raja for ‘Thani Oruvan’ and even for the Telugu remake he was the first choice. Maddy when asked by pressmen about the role has stated that he could never have done Siddharth Abhimanyu as convincingly as Arvind Swamy. Humility resides where true talent is.
