Instagram celebrity falls to death while taking selfie at waterfall

An Instagram influencer from China’s Hong Kong, identified as 32-year-old Sofia Cheung, fell to her death while attempting to take a selfie at a waterfall on Saturday.

Sofia Cheung and her three friends had taken a trip to Ha Pak Lai, a park in Hong Kong which is popular among hikers. While Sofia was trying to capture a selfie near the edge of the waterfall, she had lost her balance and fell 16 feet into the pool below. Even though the woman’s friends immediately called emergency services, she was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital. Sofia’s last post on Instagram shows her posing on the beach with a bodyboard alongside a caption which read, “Better days are coming. They are called Saturday and Sunday.”

Over two thousand people have expressed their condolences on Sofia’s last Instagram post. One of her followers wrote, “I thought better days are coming. I will miss your chat every day. I love you always. Rest in peace my pretty Sofi.”
